About the instructors

1. Dr. Haberstroh

Dr. Haberstroh is an associate director of engineering programs at the Brown University School of Professional Studies. She is also an educator in the school of engineering. She worked as an adjunct professor at Purdue University’s Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering before joining Brown. The utilization of innovative nano-structured polymers in soft tissue engineering uses has been the focus of Dr. Haberstroh’s research. Along with her scientific successes, Dr. Haberstroh is committed to engineering and science education. She works in particular on educational strategies that aim to boost the proportions of women and underrepresented groups in several physical science professions. In order for the next generation of students to pursue careers in science, she has further sought to establish linkages between Brown University and the Providence Public School systems. She earned a Sc.B. from Brown University in 1995.
